Spring Intensive Training

Mondays: April 22nd - May 13th

Take pride basketball training prides itself in teaching and equipping youth 2nd grade and above with core fundamentals to succeed in basketball. We focus on player development for young athletes to hone into their individual technique and fundamentals. Our group intensive training includes independent basketball coaching, fundamental technique training, basketball cognitive development, live-play game solutions, and micro skill progression for athletes to excel on the court.

Core fundamental training allows children to develop teamwork, individualized skills, repetition practice, self-confidence and peer-to-peer basketball knowledge to achieve their basketball goals.

Each session are in four-week durations. Personal Training available upon request.

Fundamental Training

Youth Basketball Development.

We equip children 2nd grade and older with technical basketball fundamentals to develop skilled players. We teach youth how to celebrate their wins and learn from their losses while first developing an optimistic mindset.

Our mission is to develop young athletes and foster a community of teamwork, hard work, and dedication through the sport of basketball.

Group Intensive Training

Starting at 2nd grade
Training offered on Mondays
6:00 pm -8:15 pm *Time varies depending on age group and skill level

*Athletes are grouped by developmental level

Training takes place at : Oakland Church 23333 W. 10 Mile Southfield, MI 48033

 

Coach Byrd

“Basketball is more than a sport, it’s a life skill that taught me discipline, teamwork, leadership, and commitment. It’s my life mission to help teach and develop the next generation of young Athletes.”

Coach Byrd developed a love for basketball at a young age. Byrd possess over 20 years of experience in organized basketball. His history expands to playing in middle and high school traveling basketball teams (The Amateur Athletic Union, AAU), and later taking his skills to earn an elite scholarship for college basketball where he became an All Conference Player. After excelling in his basketball journey, Byrd had a strong to desire to mentor and coach youth.

Byrd credits basketball to fostering his deep desire for community, and developing a passion to lead the next generation of young athletes.
